Northwest Physicians Insurance Company (NPM) received its Certificate of Authority to write property and casualty insurance in the State of Oregon on November 23, 1983. The Company was originally organized as a mutual company, owned and controlled by the policyholder members. NPM was founded by a group of Salem, Oregon area physicians from a committee of the Marion-Polk County Medical Society. NPIC's Mission Northwest Physicians Insurance Company will provide insurance products and support services to the health care community and maintain a stable insurance environment with realistic and actuarially sound rates.
